While Hamas holds "death to Israel" rallies to mark one year since the beginning of Operation Cast Lead, Israel will be holding a "freedom and hope" march in Sderot Thursday. Thousands of Sderot residents and others from around the country, led by Minister for Hasbara and Diaspora Affairs Yuli Edelstein and Sderot Mayor David Buskila, march from Kibbutz Nir Am to just outside the Gaza border.
Marchers will then release thousands of balloons in the direction of Gaza, with messages of peace from the children of Sderot to the children of Gaza.
