Al Qaeda's branch in Yemen said Monday that it was behind Friday's attempted bombing of a Northwest Airlines flight to Detroit. The bomber was a "Nigerian brother" with a device made by Al Qaeda, according to a message posted on the Internet by Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
The terror network also called on Muslims serving the in the American military to follow the example of accused Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan and kill what they called "crusader" forces from within.
