Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's security advisor Uzi Arad met with IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi Tuesday night, to apologize for the comments he made Monday night. Arad's comments at a closed government meeting were reported in the media Tuesday morning, although he was not named.
The comments criticized Ashkenazi's desire to go ahead with an exchange of some 1,000 terrorists for Gilad Shalit.
