Report: Iran Revealed Reactor's Existence After Arrest

A report in the Israeli media Tuesday night said that Iran decided to reveal the existence of a nuclear reactor several weeks ago after authorities discovered that the information on the reactor had already been uncovered by a Western agent in the country. The agent was arrested, but the fact that he had already informed the government for whom he was working was considered a potentially thorny development.

In order to minimize the criticism of the west, Iran decided at that point to release the information on the reactor's existence by itself, the report said.
