The Knesset Legislation Committee approved the second and third readings Tuesday morning of a bill by Member of Knesset Zevulun Orlev to allow the merger of non-profit organizations under guidelines used by companies.
Orlev calls the legislation a life preserver for many organizations which find themselves in distress and want to become more efficient so they can continue serving the public.
