The Israel Defense Forces prevented nationalist-religious rabbis and activists from going on Sunday to visit the mosque in Kafr Yasuf which was vandalized Friday. The rabbis wanted to express their solidarity with local residents over the attack.

The military cited security concerns stemming from tension in the area. The two sides met at the Tapuach Junction, where the rabbis donated a copy of the Koran to the mosque. The IDF Spokesperson's Office said later that a visit was approved and would be coordinated in the coming hours.
