Member of Knesset Ofir Pines-Paz (Labor) called on the party's ministers Thursday to set the prioritization of isolated Jewish communities in Judea and Samarai for government attention as a red line that would determine if Labor stays in the government coalition.
Responding to the publication of the government's map of priorities, the former minister said, "In Map No. 4, there are illegal communities without the Interior Ministry's approval, headed by [the Samarian Jewish community of] Shvut Rachel, some of which Israel promised to raze some time ago. This is the height of nerve and stubbornness, and it's a scandal that the prime minister even brings it up for discussion."
Pines-Paz called the recently-imposed building freeze on Jewish communities in Judea and Samarai a smoke screen intended to mislead the public from the priorities map which "prioritizes the settlements."
