(IsraelNN.com) A senior Hamas source told the Italian news agency on Monday that the ball was in Israel's court on a deal to free captive soldier Gilad Shalit. Muhamad Al-Katri, in chargeof prisoner affairs said that Hamas had even agreed to a request by German mediator Ernst Uhrlau to have Shalit examined by a French doctor despite concerns that such a visit would disclose the place where Shalit is being held.

Al-Katri said that Arabs in general had a right to kill Jews as part of their struggle to liberate the land and that Israel did not have the right to prevent the realization of this right. He added that the right was determined in Heaven and by people who allow struggles against occupation.
