Protests continued in Australia Sunday against an Israeli delegation visiting the country, led by Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom. Also attending are Mks Avi Dichter, Nachman Shai, and Roni Bar-On (all Kadima), and MK Danny Danon (Likud).

Pro-Arab groups shouted epithets and anti-Israel slogans as Israeli officials met with their Australian counterparts. Demonstrators rioted and fought with police, who had increased their presence outside the Melbourne hotel where the Israeli delegation was staying. Four of the rioters managed to get through the police blockade and enter the hotel.
