Police Prevent Farmers from Entering Jerusalem

Police in Jerusalem prevented protesting farmers from entering Jerusalem Sunday morning. Farmers, driving their tractors slowly as they entered Ein Kerem, on their way to the Prime Minister's office, were cordoned off by police vehicles, forcing them to the side of the road and detaining them until they turned their vehicles in the opposite direction.

Farmers are demanding an increase in the number of foreign workers admitted to the country to pick crops, which they say will rot in a matter of weeks if they do not get extra help.
