Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told Russian TV on Thursday that "Israel is waiting impatiently for concrete steps from the international community regarding Iran." Referring to Iran's announcement this week of new facilities for the enrichment of uranium, Lieberman said, "Whoever wanted to be sure that the Iranians have no desire to reach an agreement got proof of that in the last few days." The foreign minister repeated Israel's assertion that all options are still on the table."
Lieberman was in Moscow to chair a meeting of the Russian-Israel joint economic committee. He expressed Israel's condolences to his hosts on last week's terror attack on a Russian train. Moscow asked for representatives of the committee investigating the attack to come to Israel to exchange information and see how Israel protects its trains.
