British Prime Minister Gordon Brown called Wednesday morning for increased participation on the part of his military in the American-led occupation of Afghanistan. Brown pledged an additional 500 British soldiers to join the growing NATO alliance currently occupying the Afghani people.
Brown praised United States President Barack Obama and stated that “Britain will continue to fulfill its role in persuading other countries to add troops to the campaign in Afghanistan.”
