Sales of Coca Cola products were down 10%-20% in large supermarkets in Israel over the past week, as customers react to the continuing quality problems that have resulted in three recalls in recent days. The drop in sales was in contrast to a statement by the company earlier Tuesday, that the company had not been affected by the recalls, business daily Globes reported Tuesday.
As sales of Coca Cola dropped, Globes said, sales of competing soft drinks by Pepsi and RC rose – making it clear that consumers were reacting to the quality problems at Coca Cola.
