Speaking to Arutz 7 Tuesday, a building contractor working in the central Samaria city of Ariel said that the building inspectors who have begun checking projects in Judea and Samaria are acting even against buildings ostensibly not covered by the government's building freeze. While the freeze is supposed to apply only to buildings where construction has not started, the contractor said that his buildings, which already have foundations, received freeze orders as well.

"The inspectors took equipment from us without showing us signed orders, they wrote out the freeze order on the spot, and informed us that we could appeal in a week, if we wanted to." The contractor said that he was building 38 apartments that people have already paid for. "Now I can't look them in the eye, because I took their money and cannot provide them with a roof. It's unfair for the government to sell us land and give us permits, and then stop construction in the middle. This is how companies go bankrupt," he said.
