The trial of Elior Chen starts Tuesday morning at the Jerusalem District Court. Chen is charged with serious child abuse. According to the indictments, Chen instructed his followers to shake, hit and burn his victims over a three-month period. He is also accused of denying them food and sleep.

The children's mother is expected to testify against Chen.
