Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Sunday night that there was no indication from the Palestinian Authority (PA) that it was interested in peace talks, despite what he called the removal of security checkpoints in Judea and Samaria "at a pace that has not been done until now, which is noticeable in its effect on the Palestinian economy."

Speaking to a gathering of reporters in Eilat, the prime minister said he did not see the same willingness for talks from the PA that Israel was demonstrating, only putting conditions on negotiations and going to the International Court of Justice in the Hague regarding the Goldstone report on last winter's Operation Cast Lead in Gaza.
