A fire in a grocery store in the town of Tal-El in the western Galilee Saturday night spread to a neighboring synagogue. The synagogue was heavily damaged, and dozens of firefighters from the region were dispatched to fight the blaze.
The synagogue's Torah scrolls were not damaged in the blaze. Police have opened an investigation.
