Roughly two thousand Israelis who define themselves as “secular” are demonstrating in Jerusalem in protest of recent ultra-Orthodox demonstrations against the Intel company. The protesters are carrying signs that read “Stop violence and the ultra-Orthodox.” The ultra-Orthodox demonstrations have been in reaction to Intel forcing employees to work on the Sabbath. Some Jerusalem city activists have expressed suspicion that Intel is behind the counter demonstration.
