Due to a problem with the sewage system in the area, visitors to hotels in the Dead Sea area were asked Wednesday not to swim on beaches near the hotels. The beaches have been closed while inspectors investigate the causes of the problem and possible solutions.

The beaches affected include the Lot, Crown Plaza, Tzel Harim, Hod Hamidbar, and Meridian beaches. The beaches will be closed until further notice, the Interior Ministry said.
