The IDF will ease the ability of Arabs in Palestinian Authority areas to pass through checkpoints and take other steps to ease movement of PA Arabs, in honor of a major Muslim festival that begins Thursday, and extends for four days. The changes were authorized by Defense Minister Ehud Barak and IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi.
The IDF Spokesperson's Office said that the decision was in line with the IDF's efforts to make normal daily life easier for PA Arabs.
