Attorney General Menachem Mazuz said Wednesday that the government would be unable to enforce the building freeze it decided to implement in Judea and Samaria. Mazuz said that there were only 14 building inspectors assigned to the entire region, and unless more were hired, it would be impossible to enforce the freeze.

The Yesha Council will hold and emergency meeting Thursday afternoon to discuss ways to fight the freeze. On Wednesday, the government voted to freeze building in Judea and Samaria for ten months. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that the freeze did not apply to public buildings or schools, and would not apply to Jerusalem.
