Following several incidences of IDF soldiers raising signs opposing the use of the army in expelling people from their homes, the Jewish Home party held a special meeting on Wednesday to discuss the incidents. Following the meeting the party issued a statement saying that it strongly condemns the phenomenon of refusal of IDF orders and claimed that it could "undermine the agreements on which Israeli society is based".
Proponents of conscientious refusal say the IDF should only carry out security related missions and not be involved in expelling civilians.
