Border police on Wednesday discovered a pack of 25 horses that were stolen from the stables at Kibbutz Beit Oren in the Haifa area. The horses were stolen Tuesday by unknown thieves. Police discovered the horses about three kilometers away from the kibbutz. Police said they had been unable to track the horses down Tuesday because of the rainy weather in the area.

Police did not speculate on the identity of the thieves. However, many of the thefts of animals in Israel are carried out by Arab animal traders, both from within Israel proper and Palestinian Authority controlled areas.
