MK Zvulun Orlev, chairman of the Knesset Education, Culture and Sports Committee, said during a discussion on Wednesday that the Israeli education system was too leftist when it came to teaching social studies and citizenship.

"The course of study in Israeli schools in citizenship studies leans to leftism and liberalism, and stresses universalism," Orlev said.
