In its initial investigations, police said they had determined that a technical problem brought down a helicopter that crashed off the Netanya coast Tuesday. Four people died in the crash.

According to witnesses, the helicopter made unusual sounds before the crash, and the rear rotor was seen breaking off and striking the front rotor. The helicopter then made a 90 degree dip. Police are waiting for the Civil Aviation Department to decide if the helicopter's pieces will be removed from the water.
