Students from higher income families did better than students from poorer families on standardized tests, the Education Ministry revealed Tuesday. The students from higher income families did better than their peers from poorer families in all subjects in which they were tested. According to the figures, the gap between the two groups was larger than it was in last year's test results.

According to the Ministry, students from wealthier families outscored other students by 13 points in Hebrew, 12 points in math, and 15 points in English. In addition, the results showed a significant but steady gap between Hebrew and Arabic speakers taking the tests, similar to the gap between the groups in last year's tests.
