(IsraelNN.com)  The Israeli media has been depicting Weinstein as the leading candidate for the position of Israel’s new Attorney General Weinstein. He is considered an expert in white collar crime and has represented several politicians accused of committing fraud. He is currently on the legal team of former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert who has been indicted in several corruption affairs. It is not clear how Weinstein could be expected to act against Olmert if he takes over the post as it may represent a conflict of interests.

 Meanwhile government ministers have been upset with the way the candidates for the position have been chosen and say the political leanings of the main candidates has been central to the decision process.
