The government reportedly sent Hamas on Sunday a new list of terrorists it is prepared to release in exchange for Gilad Shalit but it has not revealed the list to the public. Almagor, an organization representing victims of Arab terrorism, fears the list will include hundreds of terrorists.
Meanwhile Industry Minister Binyamin Ben Eliezer said Sunday, during a visit to Turkey, that a deal for Shalit was “closer than ever”. Hamas spokesman Ayman Taha, continues to deny that a deal is close.
