The movement to preserve national lands, Regavim, will establish on Monday, Ben-Gurion Memorial Day, an illegal Bedouin outpost near Kibbutz Sde Boker, in protest over the loss of Israeli sovereignty and lack of law enforcement in the Negev.
Under the banner "Will The Negev Bloom Once More?" the activists say they will build the outpost to draw attention to the national and legal failures in the region. "A hundred illegal Beduin villas have been built in the Negev over the past year since the previous Ben-Gurion Day,” said the group in a statement to the press.
