(IsraelNN.com) Noam Shalit, the father of abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, said Sunday evening that the Shalit family has not received any official word regarding developments in negotiations for his son's release. The older Shalit was responding to reports in Arab media that Gilad's release will be released in the next few days and estimates by Israeli diplomatic sources that an exchange for hundreds of security prisoners will be completed soon.

Noam and his wife Aviva are scheduled to meet on Monday with Hagai Hadas, the government's coordinator of activities on Gilad's behalf.
