The Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee is scheduled to discuss a government proposal on Monday to increase the enforcement of labor laws.

The bill proposes imposition of fines up to 35,000 shekels on employers who violate the law. The fines are intended to make enforcement of the law more efficient, make the offenses less worthwhile financially for the employer, and designate enforcement against callous and repeat offenders.
