A Belgian-made MAG heavy machine gun and 7.62 millimeter ammunition were seized on Sunday by police and Border Police in an olive grove near the Galilee Arab town of Arraba. The seizure was made as part of the fight against the illegal weapons trade by the Galilee rural police and the Erez (Cedar) Unit of the Border Police.

The weapon is used in stationary and mobile-mounted situtations by the Israel Defense Forces and those of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) among others.
