The number of nights booked by tourists in Israeli hotels was 1% higher in October 2009 than in October 2008, the Hotel Federation in Israel found.This was the first month in 2009 which showed a rise in tourist bookings compared to the same month last year.
Israeli bookings shot up 13% compared to last October. All in all, about 2 million nights were booked – a number which is 7% higher than last October's.
