President Shimon Peres will be traveling Sunday morning on a political visit to Egypt to attend a private meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak at the presidential palace in Cairo. Peres’ office said that the two presidents are expected to discuss recent developments in the Middle East peace process between Israel and the PA as well as various bilateral issues currently on the agenda between the Jewish state and Egypt.
Following their meeting the two presidents will release joint statements to the press before attending a presidential lunch with senior Egyptian government and security officials.
