Popular imprisoned Fatah arch-terrorist Marwan Barghouti said Thursday that Palestinian Authority peace talks with Israel have failed and that PA Arabs must start a popular and diplomatic struggle to achieve political independence. Interviewed by Reuters, Barghouti called for a struggle against Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and the Judaizing of areas of Jerusalem. He also called for a campaign against the building of the Judea and Samaria separation fence, and what he called Israel's siege of Gaza and theft of land.
Barghouti called the rift between Fatah and Hamas an unjustified crime against PA residents, explaining that he saw no signficant difference between the two terrorist factions. He called on Hamas to sign a reconciliation agreement.
Barghouti is serving five life sentences for his part in the terrorist murders of Israelis. He has been mentioned in prisoner exchanges for abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, and as a candidate for chairmanship of the PA.
