Former MK Yisrael Eichler has a strong opinion about the army's spirited pursuit and conviction of the religious soldiers who protested against their use as "policemen" in evictions and demolitions of Jewish neighborhoods.
"The establishment wants religious soldiers only as water-carriers and fighters," says the former Knesset Member of the hareidi-religious United Torah Judaism party. He adds that this is another sign that the "secular culture" has failed.
