Participants from all over the world are participating this week in a workshop on the best ways to handle mass-casualty events. Israel's National Agency for International Cooperation (Mashav) and NATO are working together for the first time to study the best ways of training for mass-casualty situations.

The three-day sessions are being held in cooperation with the Rambam Medical Center and conclude on Wednesday. Doctors, nurses, hospital administrators and first-responder organizations that deal with treating the injured in mass-casualty events and professionals from NATO and the former Soviet bloc are attending the workshop.
