In a rare agreement with government policies, Opposition leader Knesset Member Tzipi Livni (Kadima) told visiting French Foreign Minister Bernard Kushner that she agrees with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s refusal to halt building projects in the
“Gilo remains in the ‘Israeli consensus,' and this understanding must be considered when determining future borders,” she said. Livni, who briefly was acting Prime Minister last year after the resignation of Ehud Olmert, also told Foreign Minister Kushner that “the time has come to place harsher sanctions against Iran” and that any dialogue with Tehran must be pursued within a specific time frame.
