Israel Aerospace Opens Plant in Mississippi

The government-owned Israel Aerospace Industries has inaugurated a new plant for its Stark Aerospace subsidiary, which is producing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in an airport industrial area in the southern American state of Mississippi. The UAV division of Stark manufactures Hunter UAVs developed in Israel for the U.S. Army.

Stark plans to expand its operations to include the manufacture of tactical ground radar systems. It employs approximately 100 workers in its two other factories in the United States and is building a fourth plant, due to begin operations next year.
