(IsraelNN.com) Arabs in eastern Jerusalem are confronting police at this hour while bulldozers are trying to demolish an Arab house illegally built in eastern Jerusalem. A large number of policemen have been deployed in the area, and Arabs are throwing rocks at the police.

Wednesday morning's confrontation comes a day after the United States expressed “disappointment” that the Netanyahu government did not agree to honor an American demand to stop building for Jews in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo. Both Gilo and the Arab road slated for demolition are located in parts of the capital that were restored to Israel in the Six-Day War in 1967.
