Washington is "disappointed" in Israel's decision to build 900 housing units in Gilo, a State Department official said Tuesday. Sources in the White House said that Israel's decision, they believed, would make arriving at a deal with the Palestinian Authority more difficult.
"Neither side should be undertaking any unilateral act that sets facts on the ground," a source was quoted as saying.
