Former president Bill Clinton of the United States said Sunday night that Israel should not think negatively of current US President Barack Obama. Speaking at the Saban Forum on Israeli-American relations, Clinton said, "You can't think that Obama is your enemy, and you know that [Secretary of State] Hillary [Clinton] is not."
Clinton said, "Before I was elected president, I said that we cannot want peace between the Palestinians and Israelis more than they want themselves, and that's true today." He continued, "The United States cannot force you to do something you don't want to do. We are committed to your security. I don't think you should be negative toward the Obama administration."
