Despite what appears to be a government decision to freeze the water tax, MK Ronit Tirosh (Kadima) has started legal proceedings against the law and intends to file an appeal to the High Court for Justice, along with ordinary citizens.

The petition will demand that the government freeze the tax indefinitely, immediately stop levying it and give back the money taken from those who already paid it. Citizens can join the petition through Tirosh's website.
