Member of Knesset Ayoub Kara (Likud) joined hundreds of disabled veterans as they demonstrated for better conditions Thursday in front of the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv. He declared that he would discuss the matter with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu next week, adding that Israel's power was measured by how it treated the weaker members of society.
Kara said Israel should put the disabled veterans on a pedestal because of their contribution to the state's continued prosperity and security. The Deputy Minister of Negev and Galilee Development suffers from battle fatigue. Two of his brothers died in service to Israel.
