The Prime Minister's Office denied Thursday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu offered Syria the Golan Heights in a message delivered through French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
"The subject of negotiations with Syria came up in the meeting between the Prime Minister and Sarkozy, at Sarkozy's initiative," the PMO told Arutz Sheva. "Assad is landing in Paris today and is supposed to meet Sarkozy. The Prime Minister said that he is willing to immediately open negotiations at any place and at any time if only the talks are held without preconditions – not by Israel and not by Syria.”
