The disease staff at the Health Ministry decided Monday evening to add dentists to the ranks of medical receiving the H1N1 swine-flu vaccine during the first stage of local innoculations to fight the international pandemic. Also being vaccinated during the first stage are those at risk between the ages of three and 65.

According to a report submitted to the disease staff, 17,000 people have been immunized against the virus so far. Those older than 65 will start receiving the vaccine in a few days, as soon as it arrives in Israel. It was also announced that an experimental drug that is yet to be approved in the United States will be used in very serious cases, based on good results with one swine-flu victim over the past few days.
