Two young women who were detained last week during the expulsion of Jews from the Ramat Migron outpost have accused female police officers of conducting an illegal and inappropriate search of their bodies. The women, ages 17 and 21, say that officers forced them to remove items of clothing and then performed an invasive search, allegedly to ensure that the detainees did not have sharp objects that could be used to harm themselves.
By law, police cannot perform an invasive search procedure without a court order, except with a suspect's permission.
