(IsraelNN.com) An activist from the United States has been sentenced to deportation for attacking a police officer. The activist, who was in Israel with the anti-Israel International Solidarity Movement (ISM) organization, was arrested last week for allegedly attacking an officer.

The attack took place as ISM activists joined local Arabs in attempting to claim control of a building in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem. An Arab family claims ownership of the building, saying it was leased by the United Nations. However, the Supreme Court has ruled that the property does not belong to the family, as it was built on Jewish-owned land.
