The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement Thursday night which said that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, "will be ready to reduce the extent of building in Yesha (Judea and Samaria) for a limited period of time in order to set the the peace process in motion with the Palestinians." The announcement was in response to a report by Arutz Sheva that United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had received a promise from Netanyahu that he had stopped construction in the area.

The statement added that the prime minister had expressed himself on the matter a number of times and that he was committed to continuing the normal lifestyle of the residents of Judea and Samaria.
