Ettinger: Obama's Political Woes Offer Hope to Israel

Former Israeli Congressional liaison Yoram Ettinger said on Thursday that President Barack Obama's political weakness in the United States must encourage Israeli decision makers. Earlier this week, the Democratic party was ousted from the governor's position in New Jersey, where Obama was involved in the campaign.

Interviewed by Arutz Sheva, Ettinger said that if Obama tries to pressure Israel, he will receive stiff opposition in the Congress and does not have the option of threatening Israel. He called the Congress a stronghold for Israel and said Israel must widen its connections there.
